False-vocal-fold explanation video in production
You can practice with the key points and audio examples.
Why practice this?
Practice controlling throat and mouth separately so changes in mouth shape do not disturb the Choki tone.
This helps address high-note instability and vocalization that becomes unsteady when the lyrics change.
Exercises and key points
How to practice the false vocal folds
First, move from Goo “mmm” to Choki “mmm”. Keep humming “mmm” through the nose while only changing the mouth shape as if silently mouthing ee → eh → ah → oh → oo.

Next, move from Goo “eh” to Choki “eh”. Keep Choki’s tone steady while actually pronouncing ee → eh → ah → oh → oo, rather than just mouthing them.

Finally, start directly with Choki “eh” and actually pronounce ee → eh → ah → oh → oo while keeping the tone steady.

Should I move my mouth as widely as possible to improve separation?
Eventually, yes. At first, large mouth movements may upset vocal balance. Practice at the widest opening that still lets you maintain the Choki tone.
