How to practice the false vocal folds
We will practice in the following three steps.

Step 1: Make a buzzy Goo voice with the false folds engaged. Then retract the false folds by smiling with delight to change to Choki. Maintain that smile and relax only the true vocal folds, producing a breathy Paa on “eh (heh)”.

Step 2: Gently hold the tongue tip between your front teeth and repeat Step 1 to produce Paa on “eh (heh)”.

Step 3: Reproduce the less-constricted Paa “eh” from Step 2 without holding the tongue tip. Avoid the incorrect Paa example shown at the start.
