Check the technique, then move on to the explanation and audio examples.
Why practice this?
We have been practicing the soft palate. From this lesson, we will focus more on the tongue.
The next nine lessons will work on the tongue. The combinations of parts are shown below.
Even when the same parts are combined, the methods differ slightly, giving the nine patterns below. Practicing them in this order is particularly effective, so follow the sequence!

Exercises and key points
How to combine tongue, vocal folds and neck movement
In Introductory 07 (independent vocal fold and tongue control 2), you only used Goo voice. This time, practice with Paa and Choki too.
Keep tapping or clicking your tongue while moving your neck slowly. While continuing these movements, produce Goo, Choki and Paa voices.
There are lots of movements, but I have been getting the hang of them lately. I’ll give this one a try too!
Great! That is a sign of progress. If it is too difficult, do not force it; go back and practice an earlier lesson.
Listen to the examples and try
Keep the volume low and play the examples one at a time to hear the differences between the voices.
