How to practice opening and closing the mouth

Teacher

The goal is to switch smoothly between the Goo, Paa and Choki voices practiced in Introductory 01 and 02.

Student

I see. So this combines control of two parts: the mouth and vocal folds.

Teacher

Exactly! This time, open and close your mouth while sustaining “eh” through it. Your lips do not need to touch. Let’s try it!

Student

All right! I will give it my best today too!

If this exercise is difficult, first improve your accuracy in Introductory 01.
